PeopleReady Success Story: Healthcare Facility Staffing
CHALLENGE
When a west coast hospital entered a new partnership with a nearby hospital, they needed a staffing provider to provide additional temp-to-perm environmental services (EVS) workers on an ongoing basis. After identifying multiple service and compliance gaps with their current provider, they called their local PeopleReady team for support.
SOLUTION
After meeting with the customer to discuss their current challenges in detail, the local PeopleReady team put together a robust staffing strategy that would meet the needs of their healthcare facilities head-on.
This scalable, temp-to-hire strategy not only addressed the service and compliance issues they were facing, but it also included a new approach to worker wage that would go on to show immediate impacts to worker retention and longevity.
After gaining agreement from the customer, the local PeopleReady team is now executing on that strategy. From hosting in-house recruitment fairs to completing extensive background and compliance checks – including TB testing, drug screening and vaccination verifications – they’re making sure our customer has the workforce they need to meet and exceed the needs of their newly formed partnership. The local PeopleReady team also offers on-site orientations for our workers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
RESULTS
PeopleReady’s strategic approach to staffing EVS hospital positions provided amazing results for the customer. To date, PeopleReady has placed 58 workers with our customers, 16 of which have already been converted to full-time employees with the hospital. In that time, we’ve been able to maintain a 100% fill rate to meet and exceed the growing demands of this healthcare system.
